Sequences and Series

The order I think that the sequence of the series is from the logo, the icon, and lastly the poster. The logo of the company is what the company stands for, it is what your company's visual representation is(Allen, 2022). And an icon is the symbol of the brand it is like the summary of the logo (Allen, 2022). I put the logo first before the Icon and the symbol as it helps people understand what their goal is and more people will understand the content of their poster.

In the logo, I put the drawing of the mountain first as it is their idea, and then the mountain with the A symbol as it is their idea with their identity on it. Then comes the symbol with the dates on it as it has more information about their product on it. And lastly, they refined their design with all of the elements in it.

The same thing happened with the Icon, first, they thought of an idea first and then implemented their own design, and then refined it. In their final product, we can still see their elements and their original idea. In the end, they just combined and refined their ideas and the elements of their company.

With the poster, they did it systematically. They first laid out the layout of what the poster will be. Then they tried the layout with only the name of their company, then with the information they want to include. And as a final product, they used the layout with both their brand name and the information they want to put in.

In conclusion, you could see the process of each artwork and how they incorporate both their ideas and the elements of their brands. You could see how both of them retain in each refinement and reiteration.

Athletics day

Yesterday was the sports day; it was fun and exciting but also very tiring. A little bit about me is that I am not a big fan of sports, so I wasn't looking forward to the athletics day. However, the day was much more fun than I anticipated. I am thrilled that I attended as I got to experience cheering with the crowd, reconnecting with my culture, and I got to experience something new.

During the last hour of the day, there was a relay game between the different houses. It was a lot of fun to watch and to join the cheering of my fellow housemates for our house. Being part of a cheering crowd is fun no matter what. Even though we did not win that many rounds, I am still happy that I got to be part of something.

Around lunchtime when we had free time, my fellow Filipino friends and I played a bit. We played our local sports or a local outdoor game called "Bingo". I used to play that game when I was a kid and it was nostalgic to play the game again. I am grateful that I had the chance to reconnect with my culture again even though it's just for a little while.

As I said above, I am not a big fan of sports so I don't normally play it on an everyday basis. Athletics day introduced me to sports and it was much more fun than I expected. I got to have physical activities in a fun way and in a way in which I don't feel tired at the moment. Though when I got home and got to rest, Immediately fell asleep and woke up the next day. I slept for 13 hours around 4pm-5am the next day.

Overall, I was not looking forward to athletics day before, but when I got to experience it, it was a lot of fun and exciting. I got to have a break from academics and got to experience something new. I might look into some sports now such as basketball as the sports experience was a unique pleasure. I am thankful that I attended the athletics day.

Art blog post 3

Colour - I used the same colour scheme as the original artwork and I've made it pink. Although the process of transferring the files from my phone to my device altered it a bit. But the message still pans across.
Space - Just like the design, there is a lot of empty space.
Line - The line of my painting are also thin and precise just like the original artwork

Colour - I made the colour monochromatic with red contrast color just like the original artwork
Technique - In the original, the artist use photography but since I do not have photographic skills I have to find a workaround and draw instead.
Contrast - The colour red contrast the monochromatic background just like the original artwork

Colour - I made the colour scheme filled with cool colours just like the artwork
Technique- I replicated the unity of the painting through repetitions of the arches, mountains, and wavy clouds.
Space - just like the artwork, there is not a lot of dead space, and each space is being used but is unified in a way that the artwork doesn't look too loud.

Here are my logo practice and initial concepts to brain storm some ideas down

My logo design was too complicated and messy as there is so many elements. The teacher sent me this link to study this artist who also has a lot of ideas and elements in their work but they used different techniques to make it work and look good. One of the technique they did is they used multiple lines to create textures. I tried doing it on my logo and it looks good but far too complicated for my logo. The other technique they used is using opacity to lower and make them match together without looking too messy. I used this technique on my logo and it worked really well.
